This is a round up of 2020 upcoming motor fuel tax changes.
TN
Beginning May 2020, motor fuel tax returns will be filed by logging onto TNTAP.
Motor Fuel
The following five return types will have an XML upload option available:
• Distributor
• Exporter
• Blender
• Terminal Operator
• Transporter
There are 3 options for entering any of the five return types into TNTAP:
1. XML file upload – available for all returns
2. Excel file upload – recommended for returns with less than 20,000 transactions per schedule
3. Manual entry directly into TNTAP – feasible for small returns.
Oregon
Increases in the gas tax goes into effect January 1, 2020..
Gas Tax Increase Schedule
• $.04 on Jan. 1, 2018
• $.02 on Jan. 1, 2020
• $.02 on Jan. 1, 2022
• $.02 on Jan. 1, 2024
